Windsong is an established neighbourhood in SW Airdrie which also encompasses its sister neighbourhood Southwinds.

The neighborhood sits south of Prairie Springs and the Chinook Winds Regional Park and west of 8 Street SW. Similar to other neighborhoods in the town, Windsong serves primarily as a bedroom community for the larger city of Calgary to the south.

These subdivisions are well-built, providing lovely home options for families looking to move into the area. Amenities are also properly spread out, providing pedestrian-friendly neighborhood parks where you can bring your kids to play with their friends.

Homes in the neighborhood come with contemporary suburban design with Craftsman, Colonial, Cape Cod, and Georgian influences. The single-family homes and the low-density condominiums both have similar themes adding to the community’s overall aesthetic appeal. Development of the neighborhood finished in the early 2010s, with most move-in ready homes being built during that period.

What’s To Love

As one of several residential developments in the city of Airdrie, residents enjoy a collection of nearby amenities designed to serve the many families looking to move into the region. What’s Not to Love

With Airdrie being north of Calgary and with all of the additional development here over the last several years, commutes can be a little bit longer if you work in Calgary. Particularly when it snows. With that said, there has been significant office & commercial development over the last several years in Airdrie & on the north side of Calgary. Many companies who were at one time-based in Calgary’s inner city, have transitioned to this area, allowing you shorter commutes if you live in Airdrie.
